Effect of Government Agricultural Expenditure on Economic Growth: Evidence from a Developing Country

Abstract Fiscal policy has been used by various governments to promote economic growth. The effectiveness of government expenditure on growth depends recipient sector expenditure. This study contributes this research area investigating the effect agricultural in Kingdom Lesotho. Lesotho identified as a productive that is central achievement goal and development plan. Descriptive statistics inferential econometric techniques (ARDL, DOLS VEC Granger causality) over time-series data for period 1982-2019 were utilized study. results suggest while current level pattern agriculture cannot stimulate desired prosperity country, domestic investment appear be stimulant prosperity. Consequently, any or strategy premised would fail. Thus recommends countries including should prioritize sustained increase investment.
